Rachel Smith fell down and lost to Miss Japan

Rachel Smith hailed from Clarksville, Tennessee when she was crowned Miss USA 2007.

She went on to represent USA in the prestigious Miss Universe 2007 in Mexico City, where she embarrassing fell down on stage during the evening gown round.

Perhaps due to sympathy votes (from judges), Rachel went on to the top 5, to jeers from the audience.

Born "Rachel Renee Smith", she has appeared on The Today Show and Late Show with David Letterman ever since she won Miss USA.

Riyo Mori from Japan is crowned Miss Universe 2007.
