Mindy McCready is taken into custody for violating probation
Earlier, she had been released on bail after she was arrested for misdemeanor charges. She allegedly scratched her mother's face and resisted arrest.
Born "Malinda Gayle McCready", her hit single Guys Do It All The Time hit the number 1 spot in the US Country chart in 1996. Her other single from the same album Ten Thousand Angels - A Girl's Gotta Do reached number 4.
She appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2005, and revealed on the show that she had problems with depression, domestic abuse, and even drug abuse.
On the charge of violating probation, she could be sentenced to prison for 3 years if convicted.
