Kimberly Elise of The Manchurian Candidate and Diary of a Mad Black Woman fame
Born "Kimberly Elise Trammel", Kimberly first appeared in Set It Off. She also had a role in Beloved, which starred talkshow bigshot Oprah Winfrey.
Having won 10 awards - Black Reel, Black Movie Award, among others - she starred in drama Pride in 2007 and acted in TV crime series Close To Home, which was abruptly cancelled by CBS after being rumours "to be in trouble" for several months.
She has 2 children and it's said she looks very much like Cicely Tyson, who played her mother in Diary of a Mad Black Woman.
