In real life, Kate could have swapped places with Emma Thompson! Thompson's husband Greg Wise told her that he mistakenly thought he was going to marry the Titanic star Kate Winslet!

Born "Kate Elizabeth Winslet", Kate hails from Berkshire England. She shot to superstardom when she portrayed Rose DeWitt Bukater in James Cameron's record-breaking box office hit Titanic which also stars Leonardo DiCaprio.
