Jennifer Hudson lead stars as Effie Melody White in movie Dreamgirls. The big screen adaptation of the broadway musical of the same title also stars Beyonce Knowles and Jamie Foxx.

Beyonce reportedly said that she wished she could be as hot as Jennifer.

It's also open secret that Jennifer Hudson beat American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino in securing her Effie Melody White role.

Born "Jennifer Kate Hudson", Jennifer was one of the finalists in the 3rd season of American Idol. She barely made it to the finals, scraping through only after the wildcard round. Fantasia Barrino and Diana DeGarmo were the winner and runner-up respectively.

But maybe Jennifer Hudson has the last laugh.
