Hugh Laurie is the talented Dr. Gregory House in Fox's new medi-drama House. The protagonist in House is often called "medicine's most brilliant mind". He has even been romantically linked to Dr. James Wilson (played by Robert Sean Leonard).

Also starring in the show is Lisa Edelstein as Dr. Lisa Cuddy.

Born "James Hugh Calum Laurie" in UK, Hugh Laurie is a famous English actor before getting noticed in US in 2004. He was awarded a Golden Globe award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series (Drama).

When his friend Sacha Baron Cohen (Borat) couldn't get out of his Borat character and offended a passer-by, Hugh Laurie helped save Cohen from being badly beaten up. Cohen apparently provoked the stranger by saying "I like your clothings. Are nice! Please may I buying? I want have sex with...", so much so that he started to punch Cohen repeatedly. Had "Doctor Gregory House" not come to the rescue, "Borat" would've suffered bad bruises, or worse.
