Hi-5 Enjoys a Huge Following in both Australia and USA

Hi-5 pictures
Hi-5 US is the American version of the extremely successful kids' band (or vocal group) of the same name in Australia. Hi-5 Australia was created in 1998 by Helena Harris, who also started Bananas in Pajamas. It became very popular, with fans from all over Asia, so much so that the American equivalent was quickly put together and launched in 2003. The American version airs every weekday on The Learning Channel and Discovery Kids.

Both versions of Hi-5 enjoyed a huge following - Hi-5 US was even nominated for a Daytime Emmy in 2005 and 2006.

Hi-5 US consists of members Curtis Cregan, Jennifer Peterson-Hind, Kimee Balmilero, Shaun Taylor-Corbett, and Karla Cheatham-Mosley.

The original members of Hi-5 Australia are Nathan Foley, Kathleen de Leon, Tim Harding, Kellie Hoggart, and Charli Delaney. Kathleen is currently on maternity leave, and is temporarily replaced by Sun Park. It is rumored that Kellie and Nathan are seeing each other.

Perhaps what is so attractive about Hi-5 is the fact that every script and every song and every musical piece are thoroughly designed in consultation with child development experts. And of course, not to mention the catchy tunes and cute lyrics of all the songs...
