Elin Nordegren's Photos Angered Tiger Woods

Elin Nordegren has been a model before she began her relationship with icon golfer Tiger Woods. Like any model, she has done sexy bikini photo shoots, which is perfectly normal. But what angered Tiger Woods some time back was that an Irish magazine The Dubliner published adult-oriented photos and wrongly identified the model as his wife. The magazine has since apologized to Tiger Woods (winners of the 2006 British Open and 2006 PGA Championship).

However, Elin Nordegren did not let matters rest. She is now suing Dubliner magazine for libel. She has engaged a Dublin law firm, which filed on her behalf a lawsuit against the Irish magazine over the satirical article. It is this article, headlined "Ryder Cup filth", that included the controversial photos.

Born "Elin Maria Pernilla Nordegren" in Stockholm, Sweden to a politician mother and a radio journalist father, Elin has an identical twin sister. She studied psychology in university and worked as nanny to Swedish golfer Jesper Parnevik's four children. It was Jesper who introduced Elin to Tiger during the 2001 British Open. And the rest is history. Incidentally, Tiger did not win the 2001 British Open (he did so in 2000, 2005 and 2006).
