Danity Kane Debuts to a Huge Success!

Group member Dawn Richard reportedly conceived the group name, which she initially gave to an anime cartoon character she drew in the studio.
As for the birth of the group, they were the result of the third season of the TV reality show Making the Band. No prizes for guessing.
A review in Associated Content says that among the members, Aubrey is the more popular one with both male and female fans. She's also receiving more attention from the magazines, "because of her saucy looks and clothing style." The article goes on to say that each Danity Kane member has a unique performing style, but their clothing style "could use a little bit of help". There are also comments on the group name, claiming that people will need time to get used to "Danity Kane", especially when the most popular search engine, Google, still suggests searching for "Dainty Kane" when you are actually searching for "Danity Kane".
In an interview with TeenPeople, when asked what's their next big goal, Aubrey (jokingly) says "to take over the world!". On a more serious tone, Dawn says "to tour and perform" for the promotion of their debut album, making it more "visual". Indeed, Danity Kane aspires to put smiles on people's faces.
LiveDaily reported that Danity Kane's first single Show Stopper is getting many positive reviews. Their official page in MySpace is also getting a lot of traffic and attention.
On the first couple of days of the Danity Kane album release, fans posted comments in DK's MySpace site saying that the CD was sold out practically everywhere!
Atlantic Records even released a statement saying that the sales of the Danity Kane's debut album in the first week was a "triumph" that's "unprecendented for a new artist with little radio or video airplay". Well, going by the phenomenal sales, airplay would definitely go up, and it'd better go up A LOT for the girls.
In an interview with AllHipHop News, Diddy says "the girls are a phenomenon." The radio stations didn't even have Danity Kane's record and couldn't play the songs until only recently, so "it shows the true testament of their fanbase people that watch (making the band) and how hot the album is." Diddy goes on to say that "the word of mouth" on the album "is so crazy", "it's something out of no where."
It's now official that Danity Kane the album made close to 90,000 sales on its first day, not surprising. The album was sold out in many stores across the country, confirming the earlier reports of fans who posted comments in the DK's MySpace site. The album is also ranked first in Apple iTunes online music store, with an average rating of 4.5 stars out of a maximum 5. Show Stopper, the single produced by Jim Jonsin is ranked third in iTunes. Three other singles - Sleep on It,Ride For You and One Shot - look very promising, being already in the iTunes top 100.
The official Danity Kane email newsletter conducted a poll among its subscribers. In this poll, subscribers are to vote for their favorite track on the album. Out of the thousands of responses, more than 30% voted for the song "Ride For You". Coming close at second is "Show Stopper", which received 27% of the votes, while "Hold Me Down" is a faraway third.
USA Today (print edition, International) reviewed the DK album on August 30, saying that the R&B group is "a formula that has worked for decades - hot looks, sweet harmonies, sexy come-ons and infectious pop grooves." Not bad. The review goes on: "(the) strong production makes it likely they'll get plenty of radio play beyond sizzling first single Show Stopper." Excellent.

One Shot (Handle Me),
Heartbreaker,
