The controversy started when some "silly college fun" photos got released into the public domain.
Some of the photos portrayed Amy Polumbo in an unflattering and "unladylike" manner.
She is all set to represent NJ in the coming Miss America beauty pageant.
"I'm very happy about this decision, and I look forward to resuming my agenda as Miss New Jersey," said the kisses-blowing beauty queen.
